COLLOQUIUM-DEBATE: THE UNIVERSITY AND ACTIVE STUDENT CITIZENSHIP

20 June a las 11:00

This colloquium-debate, organized by the ACTIVEU-UCM project, aims to create a space for reflection and analysis on the role of the university in promoting active citizenship among students. Through a series of academic presentations and an open discussion, the event will explore the psychosocial factors that help explain university student participation, such as socialization, values, motivations, and political ideology.

The event is intended both to understand current patterns of social participation among university students and to debate whether—and how—the university should play a role in fostering such engagement. The session will feature contributions from researchers from various Spanish universities, as well as the presentation of preliminary findings from the ACTIVEU project.
